What a spectacular evening we had celebrating Burns Night at The Brewery Inn!
It was particularly special to see John in his traditional kilt, beaming with pride as we honoured this annual celebration he established during his time at The Brewery Inn. The atmosphere was electric as we served up our four-course Scottish feast, starting with the rich and warming Cullen Skink - a delicious smoked haddock soup that proved perfect for the winter evening.
Our kitchen team outdid themselves with the main course of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, served with a perfectly paired whisky sauce.
Guests delighted in the Cranachan Sundae, a heavenly combination of whisky-infused cream, raspberries, and honey granola, before finishing with what might be Scotland's most infamous creation - the deep-fried Mars Bar with whisky ice cream!
The evening was filled with laughter and stories - exactly what Burns Night is all about. We're grateful to everyone who joined us in celebrating Scotland's beloved bard and helping maintain this wonderful tradition.
Here's to many more Burns Nights to come! As Rabbie himself would say, "Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face!"
Thank you to all who made this evening so memorable, from our dedicated staff to our wonderful guests, and of course to our magnificent piper who brought the true spirit of Scotland to our doorstep. Slàinte mhath! 🥃
